A person in dire financial straits paying the mortgage can fill out and submit a Request for Mortgage Assistance (RMA form) to be considered for foreclosure prevention options under the Making Home Affordable Program.
What is the RMA form template for?
This fillable RMA form provides information about: 1) applicant’s financial situation (combined income and expenses of borrower and co-borrower), 2) private property in possession, 3) principal residence. In other words, the submitter must describe the nature of their housing possessions, the reasons for which he needs assistance, and the future that awaits the mortgaged property.
Is the RMA form accompanied by other forms?
The bearer shall accompany this application with a signed IRS Form 4506T or 4506T-EZ. You will also need all income documentation required by the 4th Section.
When is RMA form due?
There are no deadlines for the RMA submission. You may complete and submit the form when the need has arisen.
How do I fill out RMA form?
You must provide correct information about yourself, property and your intentions — either keep or transit out your property; a description of the hardship that prevents you from paying your mortgage; information about all of your income, expenses and financial assets; whether you have declared bankruptcy; and information about the mortgages on your principal residence and other single family real estate that you own.
