You will need a pair of scissors, a ruler, and a square to create this "design" on a piece of paper. Step 1. Place a grid on a piece of paper and a ruler right next to it. Then cut a small hole in the grid and use a pencil to draw a square. Step 2. Now use your ruler and the graph paper to cut your design on a piece of paper. Be sure to leave a little space between the pieces so the colors don't blend in. You should have three or four pieces, so mark the four corners. Step 3. The "Citadel" is shaped like an octagon. The top corner, for example, is 3/4" away from the bottom corner. You can draw this as such with your ruler: 3/4+3/4 = 1/4" Step 4. Then you connect all the corners and glue in place. 2. Design Your Own Coat of Arms with Quadrants. Once you are done, you can use your ruler to help draw the color patterns onto your design. Step 1. First, find all the corners you marked with a pencil. Draw the first red rectangle, then draw the bottom right quadrant, the top right quadrant, the top left quadrant, and the second red rectangles on the left and right edges. Step 2. Ratings IN#39;m shad and I love coat-of-armsthough technically strictly speaking that is an incorrect term but I use itbecause that will then identify and let you know what I'm going to be talkingabout because that#39;re awesome don't youthink just look cool I got dragons and lions and other things on them but whatI particularly love about the conventionally speaking coat of arms ishow it#39;s the symbolism in it how toidentify the individual to whom it belongs to I just really love that kindof imagery also you know that through visual means you can then you know tellsomething about this individual person it adds an element of coolness to theindividual depending on what they haven their coat of arms I and I have got acool dragon or other the thing that represents me is a dragon or a lion or asword or a boar or a stag or any number of things it's just awesome it sayssomething about the individual but it also lets the individual convey whatthey want to be conveyed to other people now remember how I said that strictlyspeaking the term coat of arms is actually incorrect and it is coat ofarms is actually referring to a coat an actual garment though it has evolved tomean the full armorial achievement or heraldic achievement that is actuallythe official name of what you think of that when you hear coat of arms it's Theodore achievement or heraldicachievement and it is not a crest or family crest which is you know a term ora descriptive phrase that people use to identify the armorial achievement it'snot that at all armorial achievement shave crests in them okay but they arenot crests as a whole that that#39;s anincorrect thing also just to point out Will be using my own armorialachievement that I designed for visual reference throughout this video now it'snot official okay I could make it official if I really wanted to but itfollows most of their rules of heraldry when describing what is on a full coatof arms and other things like that and so it's a good point of reference that Can show you and also manipulate youknow emphasize the part IN#39;m talkingabout before we get into thenitty-grittylet'’s step back and establish where theconcept of a coat of arms originates and that is of course the problem withknowing who is a friend or foe is on thebattlefield because when you#39;re fightingeverything like that you done#39;t want tokill Joe and realize what um he was an outside sorry Joey yeah you're rightyeah yeah I guess not having a head ingoing to be a bit you know difficultthere so there needs to be a means to identify who is who on the battlefieldespecially if those peoples are important now you might think that couldbe counterproductive if you#39;re animportant person and you would you know have this big you know symbol thatrepresents and let's people know who youarethat might just paint a target on your head well not really in fact it oftensaved your life more often than whatever kill it because if you're an...
