The cost of travel is 1,000 for non-credit participants (1,500 for credit participants). This includes a round trip coach class ticket for the student and 1-2 business class tickets for the instructor. It will be the student's responsibility to purchase these tickets if necessary since the instructor does not purchase them. Travel is NOT included in the award package. A reservation form has been issued for use from one of the four airlines serving Rockville, Montgomery County, or the District of Columbia. Travel to these locations should be booked directly through the airline and not the Human Resources Division. In no event may this course be taken on a student's own behalf. The student is responsible for meeting his or her credit and travel obligations and submitting proof of all travel. A 10 fee per aircraft type has been added for aircraft from other airports. This fee is non-refundable. The Instructor authorizes the use of this registration form, but the student is responsible for filing all other forms, including the necessary registration fee and proof of travel with the Human Resources Division. Students who choose to travel alone have the option to purchase a hotel room, but must be under their own travel expense, as travel with other participants is NOT permitted. For additional information, including the price of the instructor/assistant and lodging in the hotel of the participant, please email the course coordinator, John Safer, Director, Rockville, MD, at Course coordinators may be contacted by email on this issue. Please print the appropriate page and bring to the Human Resources Division (HRD) on your first business day of class. Class size is limited. Students must register either in person at HRD, or online, by clicking on the “Procurement and Student Registration” button at the top of all HRD websites. Incomplete registration is not acceptable, as will cancel the class. Course participants should send the instructor their full registration fee, credit card number and travel itinerary (date and departure airport). The student and instructor will print the certificate at the end of the course. No credit will be given to registered students who fail to submit proof of travel and lodging. The student will be charged the full cost of the travel and lodging when payment is made. If your school or government does not provide for credit, you MUST pay the full cost yourself.
