DURING THE APPROACH PERIOD: Design/Build Team has four (4) weeks in which to file its request for an amount up to 35,000,000. Following their receipt, the Department will provide instructions and, upon their approval or denial, provide them with the actual amount of the grant. Upon successful completion of the contract, the Design/Build Team and Consultant will receive notification which shall include an award amount. The Consultant and Design/Build Team may need to submit additional materials for the Project to the Department if additional resources are needed, such as to complete a proposed architectural design or a re-design. The following types of projects are typically approved for a Design/Build contract. All the following will be eligible if the request is for an amount up to and including an area of 3,300 square feet and the Request is signed by the Design/Build Team and Consultant prior to the execution of the contract. REHABILITATION PROJECTS- Up to an area of 3,300 square feet up to and including 3,600 square feet. There is no requirement for the design to be completed prior to the execution of the contract, however, the Design/Build Team should submit their request, if approved, at the beginning of the contract period. A REHABILITATION PROJECT DOES NOT REQUIRE CONDITIONS FOR FULFILLMENT.
