Employed as a General Manager of Public Safety to perform all public safety functions and/or oversight and control related to the preparation of criminal justice budget, policy, program, and service documents and the coordination of all public safety functions, activities and objectives, at all levels of government. 2. Responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Portland Regional Justice Center and the Oregon State Prison. 3. Responsible for the quality of administration, operation and planning of the Portland Correctional Institution and Oregon Health Authority's Regional Medical Center, as well as related functions. 4. Responsible for the quality of all general management operations; planning, organization, and execution of all policy, program, service, and budget activities. 5. Responsible for all aspects of the operations of the Portland Area Intercollegiate Athletic Association and its Youth Recreational Teams. 6. Responsible for the coordination of and performance management of state-owned and state-leased facilities, including the Bureau of Human Resources and the Bureau of Workforce Services. 7. Responsible for all staffing of the Bureau of Public Safety, as well as all aspects of oversight and administration of state criminal justice programs and services. 8. Responsible for the coordination of and performance management of state programs and services, including parole and probation, the Oregon Health Authority, Oregon State Hospital, the Department of Human Services, the Department of Social and Health Services, and the Department of Corrections, and related functions. 9. Responsible for establishing policies, programs and services within all components of the Department of Public Safety, the Bureau of Criminal Justice, and the Department of Human Services. 10. Responsible for the execution of the bureau's internal policies, policies and procedures; the creation of policies, programs and services within the bureau; and the implementation of departmental actions requiring policy, programs or services by other personnel. 11. Responsible for implementation and execution of any other duties, rules or regulations. 12. Undergraduate degree in economics or related field, or equivalent combination thereof. 13.
