1 Definitions
The following definitions apply to this Part-X and the rules that apply to it under the CMA 1998.
Agencies, Commission and Commissioner means the National Commission for the Protection of Fair Trading and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission
An agency.
Agency means an agency to which this Part-X applies, whether incorporated or unincorporated.
Authorization Notice means an authorization notice given under this Part-X under a provision that the agency is not required to implement.
Authorized officer means a:
(a) Minister who may direct the agency to give an Authorization Notice; and
(b) other person who has the power to give an Authorization Notice under a provision that the agency is not required to implement.
Commissioner means the National Commissioner of the Agency.
Commissioner has the meaning given by the Australian Trade Commission Act 2001.
Director, in relation to an agency, has a meaning affected by subsection 12E(1).
Director-General, in relation to an agency, means the Chairperson, or other person who has the power to give an Authorization Notice under a provision that the agency is not required to implement.
DAA.2 Interpretation
In this Part-X, unless the contrary intention appears:
