David Cairns, IUPAC Physical Division, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland Keywords. SU(3), CD. INTRODUCTION The SU(3) decay has been known since 1964. It was studied by the Wilson-Weiner-DeWitt transformation in an open quark model, and became a target for a variety of search techniques. We now use a more accurate non-perturbatively, but highly perturbatively, calculated Wilson-Weiner-DeWitt transform, as described in the Introduction, to study SU(3) breakages in a three-quark model. The new method gives a better fit to experiments, and uses fewer parameters. The SU(3) Decay The most prominent mechanism in CD is the SU(3) decay, where a single quark decays by emitting a pair of two-type particles. The SU(3) factor is used here to define the effective number of particles to be emitted. By multiplying the two-quark and one-quark factors in a SU(3) decay to the power of the number of atoms in the Universe, a three-quark model can be generated as described in the Introduction. The SU(3) decay in three-quark CD has been studied for the last half century, but has been difficult to obtain accurate results. Although the SU(3) decay is known to be very sensitive to the number of quarks, we show that the SU(3) decay is not sensitive to the number of neutrinos, nor is it sensitive to the number of leptons. Instead, we show that the SU(3) decay is sensitive to the weak interaction, and requires tectonic symmetry. We also consider the weakly interacting SM3 particles. These two types of particles all break as SU(3) decays, but the weakly interacting particles are much more abundant. A similar analysis in a two-quark CD is beyond the scope of our current work. RESULTS It has been found that SU(3) decays have a large impact on the mass ratios of subatomic particles and their decay products, including the strong interaction. By applying the tectonic formula from the lepton-only SU(3) calculation, SU(3) decay is calculated to be twice as sensitive as the SM3 mechanism to a large-arrested (Lattice radius ~10?26 MPC) pair of subatomic particles and their decay products.
