If the copyist states that he has signed the warrant, the requester shall make the copy by himself. Article 17B The issuing authority may request, and the receiving authority may grant, the issuance of a special warrant authorizing the copyist to sign the original legal document and to place his signature on the copy provided. The copyist shall sign the warrant under seal of the issuing authority. If the copy was made in conformity with The Hague convention, the copy is considered as a legal copy and the signature which is inscribed on the original copy can be used. If the copy is made in a way which violates the convention, it is considered as an unlawful copy and the original warrant does not function. The copyist must not alter either the content or format of the original warrant. Any alteration of the original warrant will result in a change of the copy, and a change in any signature on the copy may result in a change in the legal document.
