In order to ensure successful transition, the NAS FO Executive Board will be conducting its biennial convention on November 13-15 in New York, New York. The NAS FO Board of Directors will then select a new Executive Director at the convention. The nominees for this position will be evaluated by the NAS FO Executive Board for their experience, leadership capability, commitment to the mission, and experience and knowledge of current and emerging issues in the industry. A new National Executive Director to the Association shall be elected at a special committee meeting in March 2017 to be held in Boston, Massachusetts. As a result of the transition, for the remainder of 2016 and 2017, as a National Executive Director, Mr. Thomas H. Peters will serve as Acting Executive Director while the National Board of Directors convenes. NAS FO remains committed to continuing to deliver professional representation to federal, state, and local government finance officers, as well as to other policyholders.
