I, the undersigned, being, and having for the time being, a registered and practicing architect, engineer, master craftsman apprentice, building superintendent, plasterer, mason, carpenter, etc. in Nova Scotia, would like to join the CLARA, as are, and shall be, any other architects, engineers, plasterers, masons, carpenters, painters, plumber, etc. in Nova Scotia who are, or would be, interested in this association. I further understand that we shall be permitted to represent and solicit the views of other members of the association and of their customers/contractors/customers, for a period up to five years, so long as the CLARA does not change its name pursuant to the provisions of the Nova Scotia Labor Relations Act, S.N.S. 1996, c. 51. Furthermore, I further understand that we shall be permitted to enter into an “Advisory Agreement”, with the CLARA, providing for the development of a common platform for the conduct of collective bargaining on matters of concern to the members or their employees. Furthermore, I have received information from a person with knowledge of the contents of the CLARA's articles of association that it adopts a model form of membership arrangement. Furthermore, I would like to be, and have become, a member of such a model form. Furthermore, I understand that, subject to certain limited conditions, I may be in a position to enter into such an agreement with the CLARA over a reasonable period of time and that any such agreement will continue thereafter. Furthermore, I hereby acknowledge receipt of the Terms and Conditions of the CLARA's membership arrangement. If I do not, the terms of this application will be returned to me without explanation at the close of business on Thursday, 8 November 2008, from which date this application shall cease to have effect. In consideration of the foregoing, I offer myself for membership in the CLARA and, subject to applicable contractual constraints, I, as the undersigned, voluntarily agree to, and with the proviso or condition as permitted under the CLARA membership arrangement, the conditions for membership, which I also give my consent to be binding on myself and to bind the CLARA.
