Please read the entire instruction booklet, including its pre-installation and troubleshooting steps, before beginning the instruction. This will insure everything is done correctly and safely. Before beginning the installation, remove all tools and other equipment. Then, using the instructions in this instruction book, apply a few drops of K-700T on the edge of the iron to make a “cut,” as shown: Step #1: Use a clean rag and cut the edge. Step #2: Apply K-700T to edge for a few minutes or until K-700T is a deep purple color. You can also use the following application method. Note: The following application method involves repeated use of a clean rag to apply the solution. This will minimize the effects of water on the K-700T solution. This can be a good alternative to using the rag for the first application step. The applicator pad must be clean and dry. The following application method involves repeated use of a clean rag to apply the solution. This will minimize the effects of water on the K-700T solution. Use a new applicator pad every time before each application. Step #3: Rub the pad on the iron. Do not rub on the edge of the iron. Step #4: Use the applicator pad to rub on the “cut” made with the rag, on both edges and on both sides of the iron and on your skin. Do not let the pad touch the body of the iron, as this can cause the solution to get into the body of the iron. Don't worry if some K-700T is still visible. After you have rubbed the applicator pad and the edge, do a couple of passes on the area that is not covered by the applicator pad (especially on the other side of the iron). As it is not easy to clean the applicator pad off the iron, a cleaning rag can be used to wipe the applicator pad after each application. For best results, do the following: If using, use an applicator pad, cleaning rag, and a clean, dry cloth.
