We are looking for individuals who feel the same way we do about dog care, training, etc, and we would love you to apply for Membership. Please take the time to complete the Application form, and you will then be contacted by someone on the committee to organize your first visit to a meeting or training session. We will consider your inquiry very seriously and take steps to ensure that we have time for you at your training session or meetups, providing you have not already scheduled such an appointment. We are interested in all breeds of dogs, however we will only consider Cavalier King Charles Spaniels as we know them best. If however you see a Cavalier in need from another breed of dog or a different type of home we would still be happy to try and help. Please email us any additional photos (or description) of any Cavalier you would like to include in your application including any colors and markings. (Please take note that we do occasionally request information from members about dogs which we will consider. Such inquiries will be considered on a case by case basis and should not affect your ability to join the Club. No matter what kind of Cavalier you have, our main aim is to offer you the best possible support and advice to start a healthy, happy relationship with your dog) Your application must be received at our local office by 3:00 pm the same Tuesday in which we host our Annual Membership meeting on the Saturday morning. The deadline to apply is 1st July for the previous year or by 1st January for the upcoming year. 2. How does it work? Each applicant is contacted through the e-mail address they provided on their application form at least one week before the meeting to let them know that their application has been received and to ensure that everyone ready to go will arrive at least four hours before the meeting time. If there is room in the room available, we may extend this to five hours, in which case everyone who arrives can take their seat. At the meeting, all applications will be checked to ensure that all requirements are met. A selection process will then take place where the most suitable dog will be announced. A board of four members, who have a minimum of 5 years service will be invited at this meeting to discuss your application with you. These board members will in turn invite two additional members who they feel have the greatest understanding of your dog's personality, as well as the breed you are considering.
