Although most of the questions could be answered manually with little to no difficulty, some questions are based on definitions and terminology that can be unfamiliar to new users. The guidelines to each section can be found at and can be viewed in their entirety at. In order to make the document searchable both by country and by contributor, data is organized into two groups according to the language in which the data were taken: United States and United Kingdom. 2. Methodological Information We used Filmmaker Pro 8 to record all interview data by using the interviewers' voices to transcribe the words the interviewers spoke into a computer-based survey program. In their respective native languages, the interviewers were asked to record and listen to the most common vocabulary in the question they were asked, and to answer any questions about the survey, such as date of birth, gender, and the question they were asked. Data was also collected using a voice recognition program to analyze the audio recordings. Once the video recording was recorded, the video was also analyzed using audio analysis software to create an audio clip of the interviewee speaking. This clip was edited to remove the individual conversations in order to reduce the data set to that which could be translated into an adequate number of audio clips. Only one translation was used, the English equivalent for the recording. There was no translation for the non-English questionnaires. The data collected in these areas were not translated, but we were able to create an understanding of common vocabulary by understanding their translations. The interviews were translated into both English and French. This translated interview data was then matched to a list of native samples of Creole English and Creole (Layer) from the American Dialect Society. The list was checked against existing samples to ensure that the translation was accurate. For Creole, a database search was carried out to see if any of the existing samples provided a match and then the database search returned the correct sample for the questions of the interview (as indicated on the video record). The results of the database searches are as follows: Creole: 13 of 47 (30%). English-Creole Creole: 4 of 19 (12%). Bilingual Creole: 10 of 47 (30%).
