In addition to the general program, we will feature a series of talks that examine the past, present, and future of floodplain management. We will offer an opportunity to network to those in your communities, and to share information on current processes and procedures. The Annual Conference presents a unique opportunity to connect with people who share the vision that we can do better, and we can do it more cost effectively than we have in the past. There are currently over 400 private and government organizations that are engaged in floodplain management throughout the Western United States. This year's topic will include: Current trends in floodplain policy development, science, technology, and implementation, Policy and legal issues currently facing floodplain managers, including federal grants to these groups, Current research and development, Future plans, Potential impacts of the federal and state funding allocations, and, Best practices and practical strategies for floodplain management. All proceeds will be spent on the preparation or implementation of floodplain management projects. Please register on our website (link below).
