(ii) imported for any purpose other than those set out in clause (a). (iii) imported for the supply of services. These conditions may extend for a further period of not more than three years. Any person wishing to import Goods for which a license has been issued before notification of exemption under clause (a) of section 13 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, shall submit a request to the Federal Authority for the same. Such request may be withdrawn by the authority at any time by issuing orders to the persons concerned. The authority may also require that the goods shall be duly marked or labelled with a certificate issued by an appropriate government authority as a declaration that the goods do not fall below those in columns (1), (2) and (3) of the Table specified in the Schedule annexed to the Sales Tax Act, 1990. The provisions of any such order shall be deemed to be the full powers of the authority relating to goods in such a case, including imposition of penalties. In the absence of any such instructions for such importation from the purchaser, Customs are empowered to deal with such importers in the manner specified in the relevant laws. Notice of the importation shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall apply from the date of the publication wherever in the world the goods are. The exemption under this clause shall only apply to goods supplied before such effective date as is specified in the Table of this Schedule. (b) (i) It may be imported for the purpose of production in Pakistan of goods required for the purpose of the defense of Pakistan, its territorial integrity or for the purpose of maintaining the security.
