Subject to the credit risk of the Company, a portion of the premiums generated from the policy will be invested in the Global Value Portfolio Fund (the “Global Value Portfolio Fund”). The Global Value Portfolio Fund will earn a return primarily related to fluctuations in the value and/or interest rates in the asset pools and the related financial instrument portfolios that comprise the Global Value Portfolio Fund. The Company will earn a return on the insurance premiums it pays and the returns of its investment in the Global Value Portfolio Fund. The Global Value Portfolio Fund provides you the right to receive an annual income stream from the insurance premiums it pays. The principal purpose of the Global Value Portfolio Fund is to manage the insurance premiums it pays and/or the return produced by that management activities. The Global Value Portfolio Fund will not incur any expenses or losses, and it will have no expenses paid by the Company. The Global Value Portfolio Fund's expenses and losses will be paid directly by the premium for insurance you pay. The Global Value Portfolio Fund will not invest in any other funds, investments, or securities except those that may be deemed to be investment alternatives to the Global Value Portfolio Fund. The Global Value Portfolio Fund was designated as a global equity investment fund under the USAF that was issued on June 1, 2012. The Global Value Portfolio Fund is subject to the following restrictions: The Global Value Portfolio Fund is not eligible for the additional annual fee, and any funds you invest in the Fund that are not included in the Fund are not eligible for the additional annual fee described in this prospectus supplement for the year in which you make your investment. If the Global Value Portfolio Fund invests only in U.S.-based mutual funds, those mutual funds may not be available for you to invest in. For instance, although the Global Value Portfolio Fund may purchase certain Canadian Equity funds and equity index funds, those funds may not be available to you.
