An equipment inventory form is a very useful tool for businesses that helps in the systematic recording of equipment at the warehouse or workplace. Moreover, it provides information about the exact location of equipment at the workplace or facility.
Depending on the business, inventory can include raw materials, component parts, work in progress, finished goods, or any packaging. Raw materials inventory. Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) inventory. Decoupling inventory. Work In Progress (WIP) inventory. Finished goods inventory.
There are four different top-level inventory types: raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), merchandise and supplies, and finished goods. These four main categories help businesses classify and track items that are in stock or that they might need in the future.
Equipment inventory software can provide data such as how often each piece of equipment gets used and for what type of job, and how frequently it has to go in for repair. Knowing this data helps companies make decisions regarding budgets and whether the equipment is useful or just a drain on the company's finances.
