Hi this is a short video to demonstrate a template that I prepared already in Excel for monitoring employee holidays and thickness and what you'll see in this sheet is that there are lots of different tabs at the bottom and there's basically a tab for each month of the year and this will be tailored for whatever your holiday year runs from so bits and equals March then they will be these sheets will all be in that order and the red sheets at the end here indicate that these are almost up final reports or summaries these green ones indicate the that's where you input the majority of the date tech to set up the file, and you start with the holidays to date sheet and basically where any of these cells are green you can amend them, so you can just change the employees name there and put in whatever name you want and in this cell you would put the date that and Pliny to start it and that's for employees to start with in your holiday year so somebody if you're Xavier longs January for December and somebody actually starts on the 1st of April then you put in their start date is the 1st of April and for anybody that's been employed for years and years then you will just leave them as the first channel in 2013 for anyone who finishes employment during this holiday year you would put the date that they finish into this cell, so you would put in the 30th of June 2013 there and this template at the moment is set up in the domination of days it can also be set up in hours if you have a lot of part-time staff or and people who I was very for a week to week and this column here you'll put in any holidays brought forward serve an employee and was carried forward say 2 days holiday from her previous year who just came to remember to therefore the number of days brought forward ok this and column here is calculation that basically works out based on today's date which is 34 November and how many holidays will they have accrued and based on the 30 days holiday year so if in full year they would accrue 30 30 days of November all of these have accrued 26 days to date and that's from the first of January till November that when this is the end of the year the end of December that should be before 30 and this really helps if you have employees who leave part was will year for example in this example and this employee is left after six months so through the year they will include half of their holding time which is the 15 plus the two, but that brought forward south 15 or 17 okay this column here and feeds in from the other sheets and total amount of holidays are big used and this one calculates then how many they have left to actually take so in this instance this employees left in June, and they accrued 17 days holiday to the end of June we don't take an 8 so when they leave their entitles we paid for the additional nine days and similarly when you're looking at employees trying to take holidays you can see exactly how many they've got left to take ok so each of...
