Hello everyone this is Kevin Knudsen I'm with Minnesota health insurance Network I'm here today with Tim Schatz and we're gonna record a webinar to explain to our Blue Cross Blue Shield customers what their options are for 2017 you've probably all heard in the news a lot of things about what changes are going to come about and so we're going to try to recap them in this webinar first of all click agenda what we're going to go through we're going to go through why we're doing webinars this year we're going to talk about why the premium increases then we're going to talk about what you need to know and we're going to go through what next steps you need to take in order to get a plan for 2017 first of all we're doing webinars primarily because we really value your business we really want to get out to every person that needs to make a decision for 2017 as soon as possible we're going to go through a lot of slides here where we talk about some very specific deadlines and some limits that a lot of the companies are going to place on their plans for this upcoming year and we're concerned that if we don't do something like these webinars but a lot of our customers may not get the information that they need in order to make a decision by the November 1st start date if you wait longer than that you may not find that you get the plan that you want so it's just really important for us to get in front of this information a little bit and get you the information that you need as soon as possible so let's talk about the changes to all individual plans of course we've heard in the news that there's some very significant premium increases you may have also heard that the plans that they do have for 2017 have very limited networks or networks of clinics and doctors that you can use also you may have discovered that a lot of the plans have reduced formulary so the number of drugs that they're going to cover in each one of these plans may not be sufficient for somebody also increased deductibles and then limited number of options so for 2017 we know that that open enrollment begins on November 1st and goes through December 15th but a lot of the carriers are going to have enrollment caps from 2017 what that means is they're just going to limit the number of new enrollees that they take into their plans for 2017 the carriers that are going to have caps are going to be you care medica and health partners and the thing to know is that once that cap is reached that carrier will stop selling new plans for 2017 and while we don't know exactly how they're going to calculate all of their caps we expect that that caps will be reached fairly quickly here in - in the very beginning of November so we're recommending that all of our customers start to get the information now and it's close to November 1st as they possibly can to make a decision on what their new plan would be for 2017 let's talk a little bit about well why have the premiums gone up so much well first of all...
