I looked to my sister for comfort, and she told me that it was nothing, that it was no one else, and that no matter what the caller said, no one would ever guess who it was.
My parents have always been very open-minded. Their attitude was, of course, that this man was calling to apologize. For this reason, we were happy to receive a call from him, and we didn't even know why he did that.
When I was young, my brother, who was then a year older, had come home from work to report that he had gotten an extremely hot towel on his back. It hurt to the skin, and had been for the last few minutes.
My father explained that he had gotten hot while taking a shower and when he turned on the water, it seemed to burn and then go cold again.
