Rama Krishnamoorthy, General Chairman of the Sri M.E. School of Business, University of Southern California, held a seminar titled “BEST-IN-THE-WORLD: How America's largest businesses can use IT to improve and save money.” It was attended by over 75 participants from various sectors of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Community. SPACE Executive Committee Member and Director M. Satchidananda Saraswathi addressed the audience at the end of Saturday's event.
The opening conference day was celebrated by the SPACE/APAIC-Asia Pacific Partnership of New York & New Jersey's Asian Pacific Leadership Development Summit (APPLE SUR). Participants were able to network with key business leaders from top-performing companies in the U.S. & Asia Pacific as well as a number of representatives from government, academia, and various civic groups.
An opening ceremony including traditional dances was held on Saturday morning. The day ended with the Asian Women Entrepreneurship Awards presented to M. E. students at the Asian American Women's Business Conference in New Jersey, and the reception dinner Sunday evening. SPACE also hosted an After-Party at the SPARK Bar on Sunday evening.
SPACE was represented at the APPLE SUR event by the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce (AP AIC) and the APAIC-Asia Pacific Marketing Association (APA IMA).
SPACE's Business Summit, which ran March 26 to 29, was a celebration of leadership and growth that featured over 50 sessions from various sources of business and industry. SPACE was one of more than 300 business associations that co-hosted the Business Summit, organized by AP AIC and APA IMA.
