SECTION 25-5-10.0. INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION OF ARIZ A. The industrial commission of Arizona is established. The commission consists of 5 directors. Three members occupy the office of president, 2 members are members who hold a seat on the board of directors, and 1 member, who possesses a professional or business degree from an accredited college or university in the United States and who certifies that he possesses legal, technical or other expert knowledge that is necessary to carry out the powers and duties of the office, is the chairman of the commission. The other four directors are appointed by Governor to serve for two-year terms. Directors holding office for an unexpired term may continue in office by appointment into a new term. A director or chairman may not have a conflict of interest. Directors are appointed or elected as provided in sections 25-5-20 through 25-5-36. R20-5-201. Duties. The industrial commission of Arizona shall have a continuing duty to study and assess the economic condition of this state through various public and private agencies in coordination with the industrial energy conservation and production commission of Arizona. The commission shall develop, implement, and maintain a state research, study, and enforcement program and shall coordinate with the industrial energy conservation and production authority of Arizona.
