Since its discovery in a 1950s experiment at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, the tumor antigen (T)1/T2 pair (the “gene pairs”) has been the molecular key to cancer detection and targeted therapies. However, today most researchers know very little about the mechanisms underpinning T1/T2 pair tumor detection. The T cell receptor (TCR) is a ubiquitous cell surface receptor that binds a molecule (the tumor antigen or T antigen) and induces a T-cell response. There are two types of T cell receptors, T-cell receptor (tRNA) and T-cell receptor (tRNA)). Although not identical, they possess similar specificity for an antigen. The T-cell receptor consists of three parts: an upper domain (H), an intermediate (I) region and a low-affinity binding motif (LAM) in the lowest part (M). The “T” antigen is a small protein (usually less than 10 DA) located on the surface of normal T cells. It is synthesized and secreted by T cells, and its recognition by LAM, the ligand binding domain of the T1/T2 pair receptor, activates a T cell immune response. T1/T2 pair receptor proteins are structurally related to ligand-binding domain and the T cell receptor is the second most abundant immune receptor in T cells. In order to activate T cells, T1/T2 pair receptor proteins induce a T-cell receptor-specific intercellular signaling cascade; this signaling, in turn, stimulates the T cell antigen production and the release of T antigen-specific Eggs which bind to the T1/T2 receptor. An antigen that can penetrate the intestinal epitome has a large affinity for the T1/T2 receptors, which are highly specific for the antigen it encounters. In the event that the T cell receptor and T cell receptor are not stimulated by T1/T2 receptors, the resulting immune system response can lead to inflammatory responses including an antibody response that can be triggered by T1/T2 proteins and other proteins.
