The hypervisor, in turn, loads the client operating systems of the virtual machines. The hypervisor allocates the correct CPU resources, memory, bandwidth and disk storage space for each virtual machine. A virtual machine can create requests to the hypervisor through a variety of methods, including API calls.
Well the general term virtualization can be defined as follows Its nothing but a method or technique used to run an operating system on top of another operating system. Hypervisor controls the resource allocation to the guest operating system running on top of the physical hardware.
A hypervisor, also known as a virtual machine monitor, is a process that creates and runs virtual machines (VMs). A hypervisor allows one host computer to support multiple guest VMs by virtually sharing its resources, like memory and processing. Generally, there are two types of hypervisors.
Hypervisors are virtual machine monitor(VMM) that enables numerous virtual operating systems to simultaneously run on a computer system. These virtual machines are also referred as guest machines, and they all share the hardware of the physical machine like memory, processor, storage and other related resources.
A Type 1 hypervisor (sometimes called a 'Bare Metal' hypervisor) runs directly on top of the physical hardware. Each guest operating system runs atop the hypervisor. Each guest operating system then runs atop the hypervisor. Desktop virtualization systems often work in this manner.
A hypervisor is computer software or hardware that enables you to host multiple virtual machines. With a hypervisor, each virtual machine or operating system you have will be able to run its own programs, as it will appear that the system has the host hardware's processor, memory and resources.

Ensure that hardware virtualization support is turned on in the BIOS settings. Save the BIOS settings and boot up the machine normally. Click the search icon (magnified glass) on the taskbar. Type turn windows features on or off and select that item. Select and enable Hyper-V.
Go to Control Panel Programs Turn Windows features on or off, check Hyper-V option, make sure all components are selected, and click OK. You may reboot your computer once the Hyper-V feature was added.
Type I hypervisors are also more secure than type II hypervisors. Hosted hypervisors, on the other hand, are much easier to set up than bare metal hypervisors because you have an OS to work with. These are also compatible with a broad range of hardware.
Hypervisor security is the process of ensuring the hypervisor, the software that enables virtualization, is secure throughout its life cycle. Virtual machines (VMs) can be created and managed by system administrators through a hypervisor such as Hyper-V Manager and VMware sphere.
