Request a deed form from the Register of Deeds in your Missouri county. Fill out either form, and have your signature witnessed by a notary public. File the paperwork with the Register of Deeds, who will provide a copy of the records to the new owner.
At Closing. Paperwork needed: Title or Titles (must have), Bill of sale (You may create this by hand or this generic Bill of Sale here.) Notary IS needed on Title(s). One title per section of mobile home. a double wide will have 2 titles.
Just apply for a new Statement of Ownership, indicating on the application that the real/personal property election is being changed to personal property. An inspection will be required as well as a lien search or proof of no liens from a title company.
Bills of Sale Since your mobile home is considered chattel or personal property, you will have to provide your buyer with the notarized bill of sale. You and the buyer will need to sign the bill of sale and have it notarized when you sell your home.
​​​​​Mobile homes must be titled and registered with the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles in a similar manner as a vehicle. To register a mobile home from a Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin or a title, the following documents are also required.
Be sure to include at least the following information: Mobile home description, including VIN, serial number, make, model, and year. Buyer and seller names, addresses and contact information. Sale date. Sale price, including any taxes. Sale conditions and terms, including warranties or “as is” status.
