How should I deal with the red page of the IRS 1099 Form?

Can you please clarify the information you have about not being able to submit your form to the IRS as the first red page cannot be scanned? Are we supposed to fill out the 1099, print and mail to the recipient?

Hello, Thank you for contacting PDFfiller! I apologize for the confusion. You can fill out and print the online version of forms. Forms are directly retrieved from IRS website. Forms that are printed on a regular paper are scannable as long as it is printed neatly. IRS may or may not have a rule at this time about using the original forms instead of copies of the form. You can give IRS a quick call to check if its okay to use a copy of the form or if they require their original form. If they require their original form, you can scan their original form as pdf in exact size and upload it to your PDFfiller account to fill out with your information and print it on their original form using Print Content Only. Please select "Print content only" option while printing. You can watch this screenshot for reference: pdffiller.mangospring.com/sf/MjkyMDVfOTkzMjM5 We have a lot of users who's been with us for a couple of years and we have never received any complain so far that their form was rejected by the IRS but it is always best to ask IRS directly. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you. Thank you!
