To adjust the transparency of a watermark, double-click the header and under shape fill, select a darker shade for the watermark.
Step 1: Switch to Design Tab. In your Word document, switch to the Design tab and select Watermark. Step 2: Add Your Watermark. Step 3: Adjust Watermark Settings. Step 4: Save Your Changes.
Select the picture or object for which you want to change the transparency. Select the Format Picture or Format tab. Drag the Transparency slider (circled in green in the pictures below) rightward to set the exact percentage of transparency you want.
