In the left navigation pane, click the Page Thumbnails button to open the Page Thumbnails panel. Choose Page Labels from the Options menu. The Number Labels command is in the Options' menu of the Page Thumbnails panel. Specify a page range. Select one of the following, and then click OK:
Insert Page Numbers in a PDF To do so, go to the “Tools” menu and click “Edit PDF” if editing is not enabled. Then, in the toolbar, click “Header & Footer” then “Add” to add a header or footer to the document to display the page numbers. Click the header or footer where you want the page numbers.
Choose File > Print. From the Page Scaling pop-up menu, select one of the following options: Fit To Printable Area Scales small pages up and large pages down to fit the paper. Click OK or Print.
