Ease of use. I was able to tab over to next box throughout the form. There was no need for the prompt, and I. was unable to disable it. Otherwise, it was quick and easy.

For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
If you put “0” then more will be withheld from your pay for taxes than if you put “1”--so that is correct. The more “allowances” you claim on your W-4 the more you get in your take-home pay. Just do not have so little withheld that you owe at tax time.
While claiming one allowance on your W-4 means your employer will take less money out of your paycheck for federal taxes, it does not impact how many taxes you'll actually owe. Depending on your income and any deductions or credits that apply to you, you may receive a tax refund or have to pay a difference.
Claiming two allowances You are single. Claiming two allowances will get you close to your tax liability but may result in tax due when filing your taxes. You're single and work more than one job. Claim one allowance at each job or two allowances at one job and zero at the other.
If I understand you correctly, you claimed zero allowances on your W-4, yet you still owe tax. To make sure that you don't owe tax next year, Estimate next year's income and divide by this year's. Multiply the amount of tax you owe this year by the answer above.
Claiming 1 Allowance This is a good option if you're single and only have one job. You may also claim 1 if you're married but filing jointly or if you're filing as the head of household (see def. Here). You'll most likely get a refund back.
Personally I use 1. If you want more money from your check and a little less going to federal/state, you could use 2. When you claim 0, and you're withholding more from your paychecks, the government is holding on to your money for you throughout the year and basically using it as a 0% loan.
Claiming 2 Allowances If you're single and have one job, claiming two allowances is also an option. You may get closer to your exact tax liability (aka break-even), but you need to be careful because this could still result in some tax due.
You claim one allowance for yourself if you're being claimed as a dependent on anyone else's tax return. You then add more allowances as you go down a list of conditions. For example, if you're single with only one job, or married to a non-working spouse, you add another allowance.
