Once you have made all the necessary adjustments, click on the 'Save' button to apply the changes to the deed document.

You can preview the modified deed by clicking on the 'Preview' button. This will allow you to review the changes before finalizing the document.

How do I change, add or delete a name on a deed? This can only be done by recording a new deed showing the change. Many people think they can come to our office and change the present deed on record. However, once a document or deed is recorded, it cannot be altered or changed in any way.
A correction deed, also known as a confirmatory or corrective deed, is a legal document used to fix errors on a property title that is recorded. Property owners can use this special type of deed to amend common errors such as misspellings, incomplete names, and other missing information.
Steps to fixing an incorrect deed Determine if the error is harmless or fatal to the transfer of title. Decide what instrument is best suited to the error. Draft a corrective deed, affidavit, or new deed. Obtain the original signature(s) of the Grantor(s). Re-execute the deed with proper notarization and witnessing.
The only way to change a recorded deed is to have a new deed prepared and recorded in the Clerk's Land Records Office. The deed on record cannot be changed. Once a document is recorded, it cannot be changed.
Executing a Florida corrective deeds allows you to correct any mistakes contained within the original deed. These corrections may include improper legal descriptions, or any other information that would deem the previous deed invalid. Any time an original deed has significant mistakes, a new deed is necessary.
