On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Date & Time. In the Date and time dialog box, select the format you want. Select the Update automatically check box. The date is inserted as a field and will update automatically.
Position the insertion point where you want the date or time inserted. Choose Date and Time from the Insert menu. Select a format for the date or time. Select the check box at the bottom of the dialog box if you want the selected date or time to always reflect whatever is current. Click on OK.
On the Insert menu, click Header and Footer. In the Header or Footer sections, click in the Left, Center, or Right sections, depending on where you want the date or time to appear. From the Header & Footer Ribbon menu, click Insert Date or Insert Time. If you want, do one or more of the following: Click OK.
Insert date and time in Microsoft Word Click the Insert tab in the Ribbon. On the Insert tab, click the Date & Time option. Select the date or time format you want to insert in the document. If you want to have this information automatically updated, you can check the Update automatically box.
Click the Insert tab. In the "Text" area, select Date & Time. Choose the format you want. Select Update automatically if it is not already selected. This will set the date to change each day. Click OK.
Place the mouse cursor in the area where you would like the date to appear. Select the Insert tab. Under the Text group, select Quick Parts > Field. Under the Categories box, select Date and Time.
Enter your initial date in the first cell. Click on the cell with the first date to select it, and then drag the fill handle across or down the cells where you want Excel to add dates.
Alt+Shift+D: Insert the current date into your text. This command inserts a content control into your document text that can be updated. Alt+Shift+T: Insert the current time into your text.
