PDFfiller in a medical office Overall, very pleased with the program. Love the east of use, wish the file saving was a little easier. I like being able to upload patient forms that need completed (i.e. FMLA or short term disability) and completing neatly with PDFfiller, instead of handwriting, etc. I love the east of emailing or faxing directly from the program as well. The confirmation of receipt or email being read is nice. Some times the text boxes are difficult to line up or get placed properly but I really feel with more use I will become better with these small tweaks.

For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
For example, receiving severance pay does not impact your benefits in California, even if you receive it in a lump sum instead of in regular installments like a paycheck. You might be eligible to claim unemployment benefits if your weekly severance pay is less than the maximum weekly unemployment insurance rate.
Severance pay is not deducted from unemployment insurance benefits and does not affect your eligibility to receive benefits. The method of payment, such as a lump sum payment or payments paid to you at regular pay period intervals does not change the nature of the payment.
Wage Settlement Payments Money received from a lawsuit against an employer that was designated as back pay or in lieu of lost wages must be reported to the unemployment agency. Since these payments are to compensate you for lost wages, the unemployment agency may reduce or deny your benefits.
Although you don't have to sign a severance agreement, your employer may make it a condition of receiving severance pay. However, in most cases, an employer is free to condition severance on the employee signing the agreement. In other words, if the employee refuses to sign, the employee won't get any severance pay.
If your severance agreement included a release, you may have given up the right to sue your former employer. Some employers offer severance to employees who lose their jobs. Often, however, employees who want a severance package have to sign a release or waiver, by which they give up their right to sue the company.
You're withholding on a lump sum severance payment will be at a flat rate of 22 percent. If you receive severance pay, bonuses and other supplemental income in excess of $1 million, tax will be withheld at a rate of 37 percent.
Severance pay is not deducted from unemployment insurance benefits and does not affect your eligibility to receive benefits. The method of payment, such as a lump sum payment or payments paid to you at regular pay period intervals does not change the nature of the payment.
Answer. State law determines whether severance payments (also called termination payments or dismissal payments) are treated as wages. If they count as wages, then they would affect your right to collect unemployment. Under California law, severance pay is not considered wages for unemployment purposes.
The three eligibility requirements to collect unemployment benefits in New York are: Your past earnings must meet certain minimum thresholds. You must be unemployed through no fault of your own, as defined by New York law. You must be available to work.
Additional weeks of salary, sometimes based on your tenure at the employer. Payment for unused vacation and sick days. A lump-sum payment to account for lack of notice of employment termination. Medical or dental benefits or life insurance. Retirement or 401k benefits. Stock options.
The severance pay offered is typically one to two weeks for every year worked but can be more. If the job loss create an economic hardship, discuss this with your (former) employer. The general practice is to try to get four weeks of severance pay for each year worked.
Because severance packages are generally not required by law, employers typically set the terms. So, if you ask for changes or make a counteroffer, that could be considered rejecting the package, and the offer may be withdrawn entirely.
In general, severance pay is usually based on length of employment. For example, it could be a week's pay for every year of service or any other amount determined by the employer. A severance package may also include health insurance coverage for a certain period and continuation of other employee benefits coverage.
Severance pay a retrenched employee must at least be paid 1 week's pay for each completed year of ongoing service. If the employee was employed for more than 6 months but less than 1 year, s/he must be paid 2 weeks' notice pay; if the employee was employed for more than 1 year, s/he must be paid 4 weeks' notice pay.
Your employer can't withdraw its offer of severance during the waiting period. Under the OW BPA, your employer must also give you seven days after signing to change your mind and “revoke" your acceptance of the severance offer. This seven-day period is required by law; neither you nor your employer can waive it.
