I had an initial difficult time getting use to the program. I have now fine tuned the functions and have accessed the benefits. The support online was informative and patient with my frustrations. I will recommend this program to my clients and co-workers. The cost is reasonable.

This is a good app. It could be improved with navigation that's a bit less clunky - more intuitive. I also wish there was a way to fill out forms without having to recenter, re-size, re-font the text so it looks normal in the document.

Read the title block. These often appear at the beginning of any blueprints. ... Read the revision block. ... Read the notes and legend. ... Determine the view. ... Establish the scale in your mind. ... Inspect the grid system. ... Locate any doors and windows. ... Identify any appliances.
Lay the proper scale next to the item on the drawing and take the measurement. The scale will translate for you. As an example, a 1/4 inch = 1 foot architect scale will have markings that increase by 1 foot every 1/4 inch; a 4-foot wall is represented by a 1-inch length, if measured with a conventional ruler.
Our home building plans will come in several standard sizes 18" x 24", 24" x 36" (most common), 30" x 42" and 36" x 48".
To create an accurate floor plan, start by measuring a room: Measure along the baseboard the length of one wall, from one corner of the room to another. For accuracy, measure to the nearest 1/4 inch. Record this number on your rough floor plan and in your notebook.
Blueprints contain miniature drawings of a building, so the actual measurements are scaled down, so they would fit in the paper. Simply put, scaling a building blueprint means creating a floor plan that that is proportion to the structure that is going to be constructed.
Each set of blueprints should include floor plans; plans for the foundation and information on footings and framing; front, side and rear elevations; roof plan; electrical layout and kitchen cabinet layout; and construction details.
Blueprint Interpreting Specifications. ... Specifications are legal documents and should therefore be complete, accurate, and unambiguous. Specification writing has two main roles: defining the scope of work and acting as a set of instructions. At the core of specification writing is defining the scope of work.
A house plan is a set of construction or working drawings (sometimes called blueprints) that define all the construction specifications of a residential house such as the dimensions, materials, layouts, installation methods and techniques.
Answer: A floor plan can be a blueprint or printed on white paper with a modern printer. A floor plan is a view of a building from directly above while a blueprint is a type of drawing specifically the chemicals used to create a drawing drawing can be architectural or engineering.
noun. A blueprint is defined as a copy of a building or engineering plan, reproduced with white lines on a blue background, or detailed plan of action. An example of a blueprint is a construction worker's diagram of building plans for a new home.
