This program is very useful for filling out tax forms. Although my returns are not complicated, getting the credit that I am due for foreign taxes is too much for tax programs like HR Block and too much for most accountants. The Scan to Microsoft Excel task in the New Task window lets you create Microsoft Excel documents from images obtained from a scanner or a digital camera. Open the New Task window, click the Scan tab, and then click the Scan to Microsoft Excel task.
How do I put pictures from my computer into Excel?
In Excel, right-click a cell, then click Scan Documents.

Here is a workaround: drag into MS Word and then drag into Excel. Definitely better than going through the Insert system. The easiest way I've found is to copy the image itself by viewing it first and then copy it into the clipboard. Then it can be pasted into Excel.
