Open the PDF in Acrobat. Use the Unlock tool: Choose Tools > Protect > Encrypt > Remove Security. Remove Security: The options vary depending on the type of password security attached to the document.
Open a file in Acrobat and choose Tools > Protect. Select whether you want to restrict editing with a password or encrypt the file with a certificate or password. Set password or security method as desired. Click OK and then click Save.
Open the PDF and choose Tools > Protect > Encrypt > Encrypt with Password. If you receive a prompt, click Yes to change the security. Select Require a Password to Open the Document, then type the password in the corresponding field.
Click the lock icon at the left side of the window and click Permission Details. You can also click File > Properties and click the Security tab. Click the Security Method box, select No Security, and click OK to remove the password.
Select the file or folder you want to encrypt. Right-click on that file and select Properties in the drop down menu. On the General tab, click the Advanced button. Check the box next to Encrypt contents to secure data Click Apply and then click OK.
