Open the document in Acrobat. Right click on the document and click on "Document properties". Go to "Security" tab. Select "Password security" from security method. Click on "Change settings". Check the box which says "Restrict editing. Un check all the other boxes.
Click Encrypt, and select Encrypt With Password. Confirm that you want to change the security of the document. You must save the document to apply the new security settings. Type a name for your file, and click Save.
Protecting PDF files with Safeguard is very simple. Right-click on your PDF files, then in Safeguard Secure PDF Writer, choose the PDF protection options: Stop printing, allow printing or limit the number of prints. Add dynamic watermarks to viewed and or printed pages.
