For pdfFiller’s FAQs
Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Open PDF. Click the "Open File" button to select the file you'd like to highlight. This will open the file within PDFelement. Highlight Text in PDF. Go to the "Comment" tab and select "Highlight". Save Highlighted PDF. Once you have highlighted the text, you can save the changes.
Select the Highlight Text tool from the Comment & Markup toolbar. Drag over the text that you want highlighted. The text is now highlighted.
Open any PDF document, go to menu View -> Comment -> Annotations, right-click on the "Highlight text" tool, choose "Tool Default Properties" and you will be able to change its default color.
To create a highlight, tap the center of your screen to bring up the Action Bar. Tap the Annotation Toolbar, then the Highlighter icon. Drag the marker with your finger to the end of a sentence or paragraph to highlight the text. To change the color of the highlight, tap and hold the text to bring the popup menu.
To highlight PDF content, click the 'Highlight' button in the left menu, and click and drag over the content you'd like to highlight. You can also use the shapes tool in the left menu to outline certain areas on a page.
Highlight your PDF Left-click the mouse, hold it, and move around the page to highlight the area or text. Release the mouse button once the area or text is selected. Once the PDF is highlighted, you have the option of adding a description to each annotation, which you can do from the left vertical panel.
Most likely because the file is composed of images (possibly scans) and does not contain any "real" text. If you can't select the text with the text selection tool then you can't highlight it, either. Use other markup tools, like the Square tool, instead.
Click it to expand the Comment panel. Click "Annotations" or "Drawing Annotations". To highlights parts of the PDF which are not text you'll need to use one of the drawing markup tools, such as Rectangle or Oval, and set their fill color to the highlight color you wish to use.
