For pdfFiller’s FAQs
Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Check the current git status. Create a release branch that branches off of local develop branch and tracks origin/develop . Push release branch to remote repository.
In order to create a new tag, you have to use the git tag command and specify the tag name that you want to create. As an example, let's say that you want to create a new tag on the latest commit of your master branch. To achieve that, execute the git tag command and specify the tagname.
Open source_tree tab. Right click on Tag sections from Tag which appear on left navigation section. Click on New Tag() A dialog appears to Add Tag and Remove Tag. Click on Add Tag from give name to tag (preferred version name of the code)
A Git tag is similar to a Git reference, but the Git commit that it points to never changes. Git tags are helpful when you want to point to specific releases. These endpoints allow you to read and write tag objects to your Git database on GitHub.
On GitHub, navigate to the main page of the repository. Under your repository name, click Releases. At the top of the Releases page, click Tags.
git checkout. The idea here is to clone a repository using git-clone command and then checkout the specific tag using git-checkout . # clone the remote repository $ git clone . # git clone. You can also checkout the specific tag with git-clone .
Git push tag to remote The only difference is that you need to mention the tag name after the "git push" command as by default this command only pushed the branch. And if you want to push all tags from your local to the remote then add "--tags" to the git command and it will push all tags to the remote.
Tags in git are lightweight references that point to an SHA hash of a commit. Unlike branches, they are not mutable and once created should not be deleted. Tags may be lightweight (in which case they refer to the commit directly) or annotated (in which case they point to a tag object which points to the commit).
