To change how icons and notifications appear Press and hold or right-click any empty space on the taskbar, tap or click Settings, and then go to Notification area.
To configure the notification area, you can either right-click on the taskbar, choose Properties, and click on the Customize button next to Notification area, or you can click on Start, go to Settings, click on System and then click on Notifications & actions.
(Or click on Start / Settings / Personalization / Taskbar.) Then scroll down and click on Notification area / Select which icons appear on the taskbar. Turn an icon on for it to appear all the time, off for it to be tucked in the overflow area.
In the Taskbar section of the Settings app, scroll down the list of settings found on the right side of the window until you find Notification area. Click or tap on the “Select which icons appear on the taskbar” link. Turn on the switch of each icon you want in the Notification area.
The notification area (also called the “system tray”) is located in the Windows Taskbar, usually in the bottom right corner. It contains miniature icons for easy access to system functions such as antivirus settings, printer, modem, sound volume, battery status, and more.
The notification area is located at the right end of the taskbar, and it contains app icons that provide status and notifications about things like incoming email, updates, and network connectivity. You can change which icons and notifications appear there.
