How to Enter Text in Scanned PDF

When editing documents with pdfFiller, you can be sure that every word and every number is exactly where it should be. Your documents will be legible, neat and tidy. With pdfFiller, you can enter text in scanned PDF documents and format them online without downloading or installing any software. To get started, upload a PDF to your account. Any PDF document is instantly editable in pdfFiller. In the main toolbar, select the Text button, click where you’d like to place text and begin typing.

To enter text in scanned PDFs online, click the arrow icon in the mini toolbar above. While holding down the mouse button, drag the content where you’d like to place it. Change the text size by using the tree icons above or by selecting from the drop-down list in the formatting toolbar. You can underline, italicize or make text bold in a scanned PDF.

You can also change the font type and text color by choosing from the respective drop-down lists in the formatting toolbar.

To enter text to a scanned PDF document, you don’t have to type, you can simply copy it from any other document. To link text to a web page, click the Hyperlink button.

In the dialog window that will open next, type the URL of the web page, then click Save.

To delete text in a PDF scan, just click the trash can icon in the mini toolbar. When you have finished editing, click the Done button in the top right corner and email, print or save your document. Open the PDF that contains the text you want to black out. Go to the Tools menu and select the Redact tool to open the Secondary Tool Bar immediately above the PDF. It includes the Redaction Tools. Choose Mark for Redaction and select OK when prompted by the pop-up window.
Access the Protect tab, click the Redact button and choose the “Text & Image” or “Pages” option and select the images and texts that you would like to redact. And use color and texts to mark the redaction area. Customize the redaction area according to your preference.
Choose Tools > Redact. On the Edit menu, choose To redact Text & Images. Select the text or image in a PDF, right-click, and select Redact.
Once you applied redaction to your document, then you cannot redact the content. But if you want to redact text before applying the result, you have two options, one is to select the redaction that you want to remove and then press the “Delete” button on your keyboard.
Open the PDF: Click on the “Open PDF” button, select the PDF file and click “Open”. Select the Page Contains the Sensitive Text: Choose the “Delete Area” Tool and Select the Text: Save and remove text from PDF:
