1. What to put on your baby shower invite? Dad-to-be is usually included if the baby shower will be a co-ed shower. When baby is included, it is common to add baby's last name if the first name isn't known or isn't being shared.
Typically, you should use her full name. However, if she has a well-known nickname, that's okay, too. If it's a shower for the couple, include the spouse or partner's name as well. If the couple knows what they're naming the baby and don't mind sharing it, you can include that, too.
What information should the baby shower invitations include? Be sure to include the name of the mother-to-be, the date, time, and location of the shower, the RSVP date and contact information (i.e. telephone, e-mail, or mail).
Keep the envelopes uniform by writing them out in blue or black ink. Use titles. Write both names of a couple on the envelope, if both are invited and live in the same household. Use abbreviations and ampersands only in titles or if they are part of an actual word.
Baby shower invitations should be sent out four to six weeks before the baby shower occurs, according to standard baby shower etiquette. You'll want to send baby shower invites out early to account for loved ones or friends who may be traveling from out of town to attend the baby shower.
When should baby shower invitations be mailed? They may be sent up to 6 weeks prior to the shower. You should send them at least 3-4 weeks prior to the event because the response date should be 1-2 weeks before the event.
It's acceptable to throw a shower for a second or third baby, but consider limiting your guest list to just immediate family, very close friends, or individuals who did not attend a previous shower.
Think about it this way: The typical baby shower should take place around your sixth or seventh month, and shower invitations should be sent out about four weeks beforehand. So you're looking at about your five- or six-month mark. Earlier than that, guests might forget.
Close friends and family members should be invited to the baby shower. You should always consult with the mom-to-be on the guest list though, just in case she has any co-workers or friends she wants to add to the list.
To request a specific gift or other item: Baby wipes, teething rings, diapers galore, Onesies, bibs, books, blankets, and more. If each guest would bring just one of these, Our new mother will surely be pleased.
