Click File. Click Download as. Select Microsoft Excel. You can select PDF document if you want to download the spreadsheet as a file that can't be edited. If you want to use another spreadsheet editor, you can select OpenDocument, Comma-separated values or Tab-separated values. Open your downloaded Google Sheet.
Try the following steps: File > Options > Advanced then under the Display heading, uncheck “Show all windows in the Taskbar” and click OK. I had to close all open workbooks and make the change before it started working for files opened from both the menu and Windows Explorer.
The issue might be from a startup application or service which is opening excel at startup. Run config from the run dialog(Windows Key + R) to open the System Configuration. From the General Tab choose Selective Startup, uncheck Load startup items(this will disable all startup items seen in the Task Manager).
Open Excel click on 'Tools > Options > View' and uncheck the option 'Windows in Taskbar'. Click OK to have a single instance of Excel opened. When the option 'Windows in taskbar' is unchecked, it works fine without any issues on my side. When multiple documents are opened there is only one instance of Excel.
Open your first instance of Excel, and then right-click the Excel icon on the Desktop taskbar. Hold down the “Alt” key and select “Excel 2013” from the pop-up menu. Continue holding down the “Alt” key until you see a prompt asking you if you want to start a new instance of Excel. Click “Yes” to open the new instance.
Open Excel and workbook appears on screen with icon at bottom. Right-click the icon, and it will bring up a list of recently opened files as well as “Microsoft Excel 2010” at the bottom. Left click “Microsoft Excel 2010” to open a new workbook that you can then drag to another screen.
