Open the Protection panel. 2. Click Encrypt, and select Encrypt With Password. Confirm that you want to change the security of the document.
Download the tool and select Merge option from the menu. Click on Add Files or Add Folder button to add PDF files. Choose the required option for merging the documents. Select any option i.e. Create New PDF or Merge into Existing PDF.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open the PDF that you want to password-protect. Choose File > Export, then select Encrypt. You can also enter a new name for the PDF if you want to create a passworded copy and keep the original PDF unencrypted. Type a password, then retype it to verify the password. Click Save.
Select the option "Single PDF Document Security" and push the button "Next >" Click "Browse" button to open a PDF file will be encrypted. Uncheck "Enable Copying of content", and click "Save" or "Save as " button to disallow copying permission in the PDF file.
To prevent the text and graphics from being copied from the PDF file, uncheck the "Allow text and graphics to be copied" option. You must always enter a master password when security options are enabled. It is recommended that passwords be at least 8 characters long and contain at least 1 number.
