For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Bank of America NA has agreed to pay $66.6 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it assessed extended overdrawn balance charges that violate the National Bank Act's usury limit.
Bank of America has reached a settlement in a lawsuit over extended overdraft fees, agreeing to pay consumers $66.6 million. The lawsuit contended customers were hit with a $35 fee when their bank account was first overdrawn and accrued an additional $35 fee if the account stayed overdrawn for five days.
Waiving a Bank of America Overdraft Fee You would have to call them and request to have your fees waived or refunded. Begin with asking open-ended questions such as: What can I do about these fees? If you've been a good customer for a considerable amount of time, you should tell them that.
We offer Overdraft Protection in many ways through a savings account, credit card, or eligible second checking account. There's no cost to enroll in Overdraft Protection. With certain Bank of America checking accounts, the Overdraft Protection transfer fee from a second deposit account is waived.
When your account is overdrawn, the balance is negative. You have to bring the balance positive (by putting money into the account), or else you will be charged an extended overdraft fee. At Bank of America, you would be charged another $35 if the account is negative for 5 days.
Once the class action complaint is filed and served on the defendant, a court must certify the class. Depending on the state, either the court will initiate the certification process or the plaintiff must file a motion to have the class certified before the case can proceed.
In general, most class actions take between two and three years to resolve, though some may take longer, particularly if a court ruling is appealed. Some companies, however, may choose to settle class actions relatively quickly.
Small claims actions cost considerably less and often involve little more than a small filing fee and another fee to serve documents on the opposing side. Typically, in a civil lawsuit, it can cost $1,500-$5,000 to initiate an action and have a lawyer deliver a Statement of Claim.
