Visual Mode You can then highlight a block a text and then execute a Vim editing command such as d, y, or > on it. For example, let's highlight a block of text starting with v and then moving the cursor. We now delete it with the d command. The v command selects text by character.
To enable Syntax Highlighting feature in VI editor, open the file called /etc/profile. Add the alias function to VI by pointing to VIM in /etc/profile file. This file is used to set alias functions globally. If you would like to set user specific aliases and functions, then you need to open the file.
open the file. Press ESC. Type :Noel. Press Enter.
You can change color schemes at anytime in vi by typing color scheme followed by a space and the name of the color scheme. For more color schemes, you can browse this library on the vim website. You can enable or disable colors by simply typing “syntax on” or “syntax off” in vi.
CTRL+c/CTRL+v to copy/paste [some terminals can use shift-ctrl-C/shift-ctrl-V; this is a good substitute] shift+arrow to highlight text. Shift+CTRL+arrow to highlight an entire word.
Click/tap on the Edit colors button in the Home tab. C) Select a color, and adjust the color to what you want. D) The Red Green Blue numbers for the color will be in the bottom right corner of the Edit Colors dialog. E) When finished, you can close Edit Colors and Paint.
Open any PDF document, go to menu View → Comment → Annotations, right-click on the “Highlight text” tool, choose “Tool Default Properties” and you will be able to change its default color.
