If you want to highlight one word at a time, press Ctrl key while holding down Shift, and then press the left or right arrow key. If you want to highlight a whole line of text, move your cursor to the start of the line, hold the Shift key, and then press the down arrow.
Using the highlighting shortcut key Adding highlighting: Select the text you want to highlight, then press Ctrl+Alt+H. Removing highlighting: Select the highlighted text, then press Ctrl+Alt+H.
If you want to highlight one word at a time, press Ctrl key while holding down Shift, and then press the left or right arrow key. If you want to highlight all text, press the shortcut key Ctrl+A.
Hold down the “Ctrl” key and the “Shift” key. Press the right arrow key to select the word to the right, or press the left arrow key to select the word to the left. Select one character at a time by holding down the “Shift” key and using either arrow key (right or left).
Select the text that you want to highlight. Go Home and select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color. Select the color that you want. Note: Use a light highlight color if you plan to print the document by using a monochrome palette or printer.
Choose Find from the Edit menu or press [Ctrl]+F. On the Find tab, enter the word or phrase into the Find What control. Check the Highlight All Items Found In option (shown below). Click Find All and click Close.
Press the “Right-arrow” key while keeping the “Shift” key held down. Notice that each time that you press the “Right-arrow” key, a character is highlighted. If you want to highlight a large amount of text, simply hold down the “Right-arrow” key while pressing the “Shift” key.
In some situations, you may need to right-click on an icon, text, or other Windows element. To do this without a mouse, select the icon or move the cursor to the text you need to right-click. Then, press and hold the Shift and F10 keys at the same time.
