I AM A TAX PREPARER SO YOU CAN IMAGINE AT THE BUSIEST TIME HAVING TO RUSH AND GO BUY FORMS OR ORDER ONLINE, IT WAS EASY VERY SELF EXPLANATORY. WOULD LIKE TO SEE ADDITIONAL FEATURES, SAVE THE EIN NUMBER, PREFILL THE SS AND MEDICARE WHEN YOU PUT IN THE AGI.

Easy to use & Quick My business is all about paperwork. Everything is time sensitive and I could not get things done without PDFfiller. I use it daily. The ease of use is so important to me. I don't have time to learn difficult programs. Easy to upload docs from anywhere, rearrange pages, make corrections, save as PDF and save or email. You can name your files and go back to them when needed. The dashboard is easy to navigate. I have used this software for years and they are always improving and adding new features. I have had trouble uploading an occasional document but customer service fixed the issue each time. Sometimes my document is too large which is frustrating, they have a size limit. Also, a document with signatures from another software company (e-sign) sometimes don't come thru.

Register your name and logo as a trademark for the label to prevent anyone from misusing the label's name. Visit the U.S. Patent and Trademark official website, USPTO.gov and check the Trademark Electronic search System site to make sure another record label or business does not have an identical name.
Starting a small scale but standard record label company that can only carry out basic recording services/studio works in the United States of America will cost about twenty thousand dollars to fifty thousand dollars ($20,000 to $50,000).
Large labels pay about $0.50 to $0.55 per CD on orders of 100,000 or more. Labels that buy less than 10,000 CDs per year pay approximately $1.20 per CD. Record labels pay two royalties: one to artists, and another to composers & publishers. Artists can receive 10% 15% of suggested album retail minus packaging costs.

Register Your Label Determine your label's location and register it in its state of operation. Visit the county clerk's office and find out the requirements to register a record label as they differ from state to state. The general requirements include filling out forms and payment of a fee.
Clearly, a Corporation is a better choice to consider in starting a record label. Similar to a Corporation, an LLC will provide you and the members with limited liability and protection of personal assets while for ownership and tax purposes allowing the LLC to be treated as a Partnership.
In general, the individual who writes or records an original song owns the copyright in the musical work or sound recording. So if only one person is involved in the writing and recording process, then that person owns the resulting copyrights.
