For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Can I sell the tickets at a discounted price, for example, 50 cents each or 3/$1? Yes, if you have a raffle license and meet specific requirements. There are specific requirements for printing and selling the tickets. Discounted tickets must NOT be offered in an unlicensed raffle.
Generally the lower the ticket price the more tickets you should be able to sell. If you are selling tickets at $1 each you'll probably in general sell between 2 and 5 tickets to each person. If you are selling tickets for $5 or $10 each you may on average only sell 1 or 2 tickets per person.
Typical prices are $1, $5 and $10, with $1 being the most common. Bundles can go for $2 for 3 tickets or $4 for 5, or an arm's length for $10 (just don't use long-armed volunteers!). Be sure to offer tickets to everyone and let them know how much they could win.
Direct Email. A well worded email to your membership/supporter base to promote your raffle and let people know how they can purchase a ticket is a must. Social Media. Seek out your Raffle Audience. Sponsors Support. Man a Table. Location is King. Footpath Decals. Table Talkers.
Check Local Laws and Regulation. Always do some due diligence and check local or regional laws regarding raffles. Set Goals. You have to determine if the raffle is for charity or for profit. Raffle Prizes. Print Raffle Tickets. Promote Your raffle. Sell Tickets. Hold The Draw.
You sell as many tickets to each person as possible, for a fixed fee. Typical ticket prices are $1, $5, or $10 depending on the makeup of your group. The most common price is one ticket for $1. So here it is in a nutshell: Sell the raffle tickets and collect the money.
According to federal law, the mailing of raffle tickets through the USPS is illegal. However, there are alternatives, one of them being the services we offer here at Opted.
Federal law is pretty clear that buying or selling lottery tickets by mail is illegal and punishable by fines or jail time. 18 U.S. Code § 1302 states:“"Whoever knowingly deposits in the mail, or sends or delivers by mail shall be fined or imprisoned not more than two years.”
In California, only nonprofit organizations can legally conduct raffles. Before holding a raffle, you must file a raffle registration form. You must also file an annual raffle report form that reports on the raffles your organization conducts in a given year.

But all tickets on any page will have the same number. Each page will have a different number, but all the tickets on that page will have the same number. That's no good. You need each ticket to have a different number.

Enter the Product Number. Choose a Ticket Format. Choose a Design Template. Customize the Design. Add Sequential Numbering to the Ticket. Add Sequential Numbering to the Ticket Stub. Preview & Print. Save.
Now budget for how many guests you expect will attend the event. Divide your budget by the number of people estimated to attend and voilà! you've got the price of your ticket. For example, if your expenses total $10,000, and you plan for 100 people your early bird ticket price per person would be $100.
