I was a little confused when I first began using the app, but did an online chat with their agent who walked me through what I needed to know. Therefore; I would recommend this subscription to any Commercial Insurance Agent who issues multiple Acord forms.

”Lockout/ragout” refers to specific practices and procedures to safeguard employees from the unexpected energization or startup of machinery and equipment, or the release of hazardous energy during service or maintenance activities. Lockout devices hold energy-isolation devices in a safe or”off” position.
LOT Safety: The 6 Steps of Lockout/Ragout. LOT stands for lockout/ragout. When done properly before equipment service or maintenance, lockout/ragout procedures control hazardous energy and protect workers from harm.
The Importance of Lockout Ragout. Lockout Ragout, or simply LOT, is a safety practice that protects employees and visitors from uncontrolled hazardous energy that may escape from machines or equipment during isolation or servicing.
It was created to prevent the unexpected start-up or energizing of equipment during service and maintenance operations which could cause employee injuries and prevent the release of stored energy which could cause employee injury.
It requires that hazardous energy sources be “isolated and rendered inoperative” before work is started on the equipment in question. The isolated power sources are then locked and a tag is placed on the lock identifying the worker who placed it.
You must use a lockout program (or ragout program that provides a level of protection equal to that achieved through lockout) whenever your employees engage in service or maintenance operations on machines that are capable of being locked out and that expose them to hazardous energy from unexpected energization,
