How can I get FedEx to leave a package without a signature?
If no one is available to sign, FedEx will deliver the package in a safe place without obtaining signature. FedEx will obtain a signature from someone at the delivery address, from a neighbor or from a building manager. If no one is available to sign, FedEx will attempt to redeliver the package on another date.
How do I change a FedEx package without signature required?
Click the Sign for a Package option to sign for a package online. If it's grayed out, the package either doesn't require a signature or FedEx needs you to sign for it in person. For example, if a package's sender specified adult signature required, FedEx will need someone over 21 to sign for it in person.
Can I leave a note for UPS signature required?
UPS Signature Required If your package requires a signature, or if you are worried about leaving a package unattended on your doorstep, you can try leaving a note on your front door asking UPS to leave your package with a neighbor.
What happens if you are not home to sign for a UPS package?

Delivery Confirmation is a feature you can ADD to a mail piece that you're mailing via Certified Mail. Certified Mail basically gives you a tracking number which is useless for anything.
What happens if you are not home to sign for UPS?
If the sender has specified that an adult signature is required, you cannot authorize delivery release online. You can, however, redirect it to a UPS customer center. You could either have your package left at a UPS location, such as The UPS Store or a UPS Access Point® location, or change your instructions.
